Final SOL

Today is the last slice of the sol challenge. I have had so much fun doing to SOL challenge and I am disappointed that it is over. However I am exited that I completed it and I cant wait for our trip to Starbucks. I am really happy that I got the chance to participate in the SOL challenge and I learned a lot about blogging and writing. Happy last SOL everyone!

Parasailing

I sit back in the harness

I feel my feet leave the hot sand of the beach

As the parachute lifts me into the air

I drift higher and higher over the ocean

Till the people on the beach are barely visible

I look down to see the many boats floating in the sea below me

Two people riding a Jet Ski look up and wave at me

I wave back

I see the motorboat that is pulling me along turn back to the beach

And I turn with it

I get closer and closer to the beach

When I get close enough the people running the parasailing grab onto my harness

They pull me safely onto the ground

Frizzy Hair

Right now we are in Mexico. It is super amazing and beautiful here, but since we are so close to the ocean it is also super humid. Both of my sisters have naturally sort of curly hair, so when they get into humidity they both get really tight and pretty curls. My hair on the other hand is usually pretty strait so when I get into humidity instead of curling if gets super big and frizzy.

Jet Ski

I take a deep breath of the salty ocean air and pull back on the throttle of the Jet Ski. We go faster and faster it feels like we are flying across the ocean. I see the number on the front of the jet ski get higher and higher, 30 miles per hour, then 40, then 50. We hit a huge wave and the Jet Ski flies into the air and water splashes into our faces. I hear my sister laugh from the back of the Jet Ski as I slow down to a stop. It’s her turn to drive. 

Puerto Vallarta

Right now we are in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is really beautiful here. We are on the cost so we are surrounded by both ocean and jungle.  We have been here since Friday and I have loved it so much here. This morning we went paddle-boarding, sea kayaking, and snorkeling. We saw lots of fish but my favorite fish was a puffer fish.  Tomorrow we are going on a snorkeling trip and swimming with dolphins and I cant wait! I have had such a great time in Mexico and I really hope that I get the chance to go here again.

The Beach

The waves crash against the giant rocks

I can feel the mist from the ocean on my face

I take a deep breath and walk into the cold water

A wave crashes against me and pushes me back

I surge forward deeper and deeper into the water

I join my sisters and we splash around and jump over waves

What a wonderful day at the beach

The Airport

The airport is one of my favorite places in all of Denver.  I love going to the airport because it means that I am either going somewhere fun, or coming home after a trip, both are really great.  I also like going to the airport because my grandma works there helping people in wheelchairs get around the airport.  I also really like seeing all of the huge airplanes out the window at the airport.
